I went to a favorite vendor, Christmas card in one hand, bag of hard candies in the other hand. I came to a sudden halt when I realized they were gone, their landlord had decided to evict them right before the holidays and put her own plants in place for the big Christmas sale. I found out where they'd moved to and headed back out in a flash. But again, what a sad thing I found. The vendors husband was in the shop, tears in his eyes. They found another location and worked all day yesterday getting things repainted. They put a new tent put up out back to hold non-flowering plants and finished putting in a few plants last night. Their hard work done, they arrived home and found out they had been robbed. Thieves had cleaned them out of everything while they worked at the new shop. Even her jewelry had been taken. Heartbroken my friend walked out of her home and had a rather bad heart attack. I hope you all will keep her in your thoughts and prayers for me. Her husband is barely hanging in there and I feel just awful for them.
Obviously; I couldn't leave without buying something, they've always been so kind. I had been looking for a red phal for the holidays. Sitting in a corner was this beauty...it is a dark velvetty red. I had to take it outside to get my pictures to show anything close to it's actual color. But even in natural light it the pics still show too violet.
