Hi, I have been growing orchids for about six years or so and i grow mostly miniature phals. I do have other orchids as well and also a few that are mounted. My question is the the type of mix i should use for my miniatures, i grow all of them in 4" clay pots with a open bark mix, i also have a layer of moss on top and styrofoam peanuts on bottom. They dry out very quickly and i
have to water just about every other day, in the winter i grow under lights. I
really don't want to use plastic pots because i grow them outside on a covered porch in the summer and hang them from a lattice wall, the clay pots have a 1" lip around the top and i am able to use a hanger on them. I have heard something about coir mix, i would appreciate any suggestions you might have. THANKS HANK....
