I brought an orchid ---- 2 days ago and now I'm wondering if I should get a new pot for it.
It came in moss, in a clear container with no drainage or air holes and some of the roots I can see look broken:
There are only two air roots, one of which is dry and only hanging on by a corner:
.
My question is, if I have to re-pot, should I trim the dead roots and all that or just move it into a better container and wait for the blooms to die before pruning? I've also read that you should sprinkle cinnamon on cut roots. Is that actually a good idea?
Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me.
