I'm going to ask you about a phal, shown in a previous thread, which I have for about 4 months, lost 3/4 of it's roots due to root rot (it was my first orchid, so...you understand). It's been repotted for a month and a half (since I've noticed it's growing a new leaf). The roots haven't grown that much (about half of the remaining ones started to grow from the tips, plus 2 new ones), neither did the new leaf. Today as I was taking a closer look, I saw what it looks like another new leaf. Now I'm guessing that the leaf which started a month ago will not grow much bigger, and my fear is that with that few roots left, the plant will not manage to grow two new leaves. What is your opinion?
