I have mentioned the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute in the Cameron Highlands ,where I spent my recent holidays. At this station there is a lot of research on the growing of temperate fruits and flowers to help our highland farmers. Here are some pictures of flowers that will be quite familiar to our friends in more temperate lands but are quite fascinating to our local tourists. The Cameron highlands has a booming cut-flower industry producing chrysanthemum, roses, carnations, lillies and even cymbidiums for the local market as well as for export.
