I summer my orchids on a rooftop under a shadehouse and hanging from rods, so I don't think too many bugs have crawled in. BUT, I think I should drench the medium with something before I bring them into my house (mainly Catts).

What would you folks recommend that I drench with? Something that won't smell and something that I can buy in NYC. Many pesticides, like Orthene, can't be purchased in NYC. Would Safers Insecticide work as a good drench to kill off critters? Neem oil (but I hear its smelly). Any help you could give me could be greatly appreciated.
