    Default Fragrant Blc orchid cross

    My first earned blooms on this cross. I received this as a division of one of my grandmother's orchids. She lost the tag long ago. From searching online I believe it may be a variety of Brassocatanthe (formerly Blc.) Roman Holiday, perhaps the 'Mahogany Beauty' variety.

    It's starts out very deep in color and slowly gets more orange. The petals are slightly darker than the sepals. The scent is lovely and reminds me of hyacinths.

    Whatever the name, I love it.
