    Default Phrags and feeding

I have recently picked up on the fact that some phrag experts use what I consider to be very heavy feed dosage. My normal limit for all orchids is an EC of 600, i.e. 0.6 Siemens - which is what epiphytes typically get in the wild, but for Phrags, which are probably not epiphytes anyway, figures twice as high have been mentioned by a couple of people specialising in them.
I have started doing this, a bit nervously - and so far after say 3 months I have not seen any sign of over-feeding ( such as browning leaf-tips) and I have not so far made any serious attempt to measure growth rates either ; but my maybe 30 or so plants in all sizes from 6 inch span single growth seedlings to 10 inch pots full of growths do look good, I must say.

Any comments or observations on this will be appreciated.
