10 cm flowers. A spike of 3 and a spike of 2 , the second flowering on this young plant. So difficult to get the true red colour in a digital photograph ( and yes, I'm using a decent camera - Nikon D300, set to sRGB colour space.) I use Camera Raw to adjust , but I just can't get the true dark red velvet colour I see with my eyes ; the problem is that the camera sees to a different spectrum than my eyes, of course - it "sees" into the infra-red or uv whhere human eyes can't go.... So if you say "nice colour" - I can only wish I could show you the real colour - nicer still.
