Asp;asia is an onciidiniae plant - has occasionally been used to hybridise, but it's single flowered habit is a turn-off, lest that dominate in the hybrid. A pity for they have interesting colour and shape.
The usual Aspasia , the only one I have ever seen before is A.lunata. IOSPE says this one is three times as large. Well, not quite, maybe twice as large. A first flowering on a plant I have had for three years now , and the flower emerges from an incomplete growth. Which I think is not quite as it should be - so it may be hail and farewell ! We’ll see.
