Vanda Pure's Wax
I get very frustrated trying to capture the correct colour for this vanda - indeed for all blue/violet flowers. The colour doesn't even come close to the original - which is more like gentian violet than the grape colour in the photo. Also did not capture the waxy texture of the lateral sepals. I have seen this being labelled V Pure Wax but the correct name should be V Pure's Wax ( it being registered by Pure Orchard ). This is a small plant about 5 inches tall and this is the second time it's bloomed with 8 flowers.
