Currently my stanhopea is in a basket that I made with 1x1 inch hardware cloth. I posted recently asking for a solution to the mildewy odor from the moss that I used to line it. I was in fact given good advice. I found 1/2 x 1/2 inch hardware cloth a few days ago and am curious as to the size of a stanhopea spike. If I made a basket from that, then I would not have to pack the moss so much, thereby increasing air flow in the basket. Would spaces that size be adequate to allow the spike a good enough chance of emerging? Thanks in advance! Jason
