This is the first time I've submitted photos. I hope it works. Please excuse the image quality.
The flower stalk developed in the fall after the leaves began to senesce. The stalk is now over three feet long. The flower are basically white with very little color in the throat. The label has Calanthe rosea but I think that's incorrect. The bloom time is wrong and my plant has distinctive bracts at the base of each flower which rosea lacks. I'm inclined toward Calanthe rubens even though there's no hint of pink in the flower. Orchidwiz, however, does show images of Calanthe rubens plants with white flowers.
This is the first time this plant has bloomed in 10-12 years. I would really appreciate some help in putting a name on this plant as a reward for my persistence.
