I have lost three of these in the past and almost gave up trying to grow one let alone bloom it. I won this one at orchid society a year and a half ago. It is the only mounted orchid I have and it has grown really well for me except it wouldn't bloom for me. Finally after bringing it indoors this autumn it started to spike. It has four more spikes at different stages so will be in bloom for quite awhile. The scent is devine and the blooms last for such a long time. I guess the secret to growing this one---at least for me is to have it mounted. The ones I lost were always planted in bark.
