I recently(3 weeks ago) received an order of mini catts. They are outside now in Houston, adequate humidity, under 60% shadecloth. The pbulbs have started to shrivel on the newest growth, and they were plump when I received it. I don't understand as I water only when medium is drying out and most of them have decent root systems. All are putting out new green tipped roots as well.
So, is it normal for catts going from a greenhouse in HAwaii to outside in Houston, TX to have an adjustment period, where the pseduobulbs shrivel a bit and the leaves start to look a bit dry? I water with a weak Dyan Grow solution and have some KLN on the way to really boost all the root systems. Any suggestions on how to minimize leaf dryness and pbulb shrinking? Will the pbulbs fill up again ever or no? Thanks for any help.
