My first Dendrobium anosmum for this season is from my best plant, the one with the darkest pink-purple blooms and sepals and petals that do not curl up a lot.
The skies were becoming darker when I tried to take the shots from a stepladder, since the plant was too cumbersome to take down for a glamour shot. Plus, there was also a good breeze. However, the pictures came out well enough, with backdrop of scaled Vanda sanderiana leaves. (Scales long since dead from malathion sprays.)
An unpretentious plant, it blooms with a fragrance that can be overwhelming when dozens of flowers are open.
