Hello All, my name is Kyle, i'm from Oklahoma and i have a Phaleanopsis orchid (her name is Sibyl) that has a very unusual keiki and i'm unsure how to approach repotting it. It has only been growing during the past three months and already it has two well established aerial roots with a combined length of apprx. 3 1/2 inches, three health leaves, and (here's the kicker) two fully bloomed flowers. I've done a fair amount of research and some sources say you can carefully twist the keiki off of the mother spike and others say you should cut the inflorescence below and above the keiki to protect the aerial roots. I'm just unsure of which method is best for my certain predicament. since she has already flowered would it be more beneficial to leave the keiki with the mother? I would love to repot the keiki but i don't want to cause any harm to it or Sibyl, especially since the baby has already flowered. Any suggestions would be tremendously appreciated, thank you.
