The flowers have been blooming in Atlanta since February - about six weeks ahead of time Now that it's officially
the height of summertime here, Phillip and I thought we'd take our twin Canon G11s and see what was going on at the Botanical Gardens and Orchid Conservatory these days. We thought there might not be much at all - but we were happily mistaken.

So.... here's a bunch of photos from yesterday, unedited except for being cropped, and some better, some worse - I was playing around with settings. Overall, not bad.

I never know what order these photos will come up in, and there are about 40, so I'll just number them consecutively. I know a lot of the orchids now, but not all, and I'm going to leave them unnamed so whoever feels inclined can play the "Identify the Orchid" game.

I hope you enjoy them - it's taken a good bit of work to get them together.
