Cattleya Maxima

Hi all, I re-potted 80% of my orchids into SH roughly a month ago. Catching my attention was this Maxima where it was rotting in the bark media with no roots at all and now it has grown an eye with a healthy looking root. I am sure its on its way to a healthy plant. Each successive new growth was smaller than the previous and lets hope the SH would return it to its glory. Although I am note sure about the hairy fungus/mould growing in the clay pellets but I don't see it doing any harm as such.
