I have dad to thank, really... he has been a great photographer (amateur) all his- all MY- life. Literally as soon as I could walk I was introduced to the magic of the darkroom! Taking pictures for me is instinctive- like breathing. Even now I only edit if I want a square picture or if there is a stain on the back-cloth... I do all the composing and framing before I press the button- without really thinking. So it's pressure of environment, I guess: there was no other way I was going to turn out!And now i have to see how photography is becoming difficult for dad- strange problems and puzzles arise more and more for him when he does photography; this is very sad, so I am happy I can take a nice relaxed picture of him in the sun and with a great plant.
