Hi
I was following an old thread posted ages ago about someone who was trying to grow his Vanva in a vase.
I bought this mature vanda a year ago and had to do major surgery on the roots almost as soon as I got it. It was potted in just charcoal and all the roots were mushy and rotten.
I figured it was a gonner and couldn't lose by being aggressive.
I left one short root right up by the plant and anchored the plant in some bark. I am happy to say that it has fat new roots growing like crazy and has added many new leaves since then.
I am a windowsill grower and have has some nice shelves made for my windows.
I know this vanda will have very long roots and that many people mount them- I was wondering if I should leave it in bark or try to anchor it in a tall vase.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
