Hi All
I could use some advice on care for a new Orchid, a Onc. Mendenhall Hildos. It has lovely leaves and I understand that they are very slow bloomers, although the seller said it was mature ard ready to bloom.

I don't really like the way it's potted. Apparently the growers use, what looks to me like some kind of volcanic rock
in pots that have a reservoir at the bottom of the pot.
I have no other orchids that are in this type of medium and have no experience with this orchid or the medium it's in.
I'd like to repot it unless this is the standard way of potting this orchid variety.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Starr
