hi gurjeet / They are not something I grow myself; but having said that they don't seem bothered by being out in our ( frequently ) wet summers. Some people keep them under glass, but this can, as you'd guess, leads to unwanted growth development and scorching, or if they are excessively shaded, odd growth patterns occur. Cymbidiums seem to need the summer fresh air. The growers I know all agree to that. They love being placed against a warm wall, out of the strongest sunshine...... nicely to the west, away from 11.00am / 3.30pm sunshine.
