Anyone familiar with Phaius tankervilliae will recognise the plant - but probably not the flowers, although they would think this a young P.tankervilliae some years away from flowering. The flowers are much smaller, maybe =2 inches or so across, but usually considered to be far more beautiful. I did show this plant a year ago- and I put the same pic in for reference - to show how much flowers can improve from first flowering to the next - assuming some increase in cultural quality. Far more flowers too !
Seems to be quite long lasting, since I thought of taking some pics 2 weeks ago when the first flowers opened, and it looks as though another two weeks might show them all fully out.
