Hi Kitty. I am happy that you draw inspiration from my dends. Most of my dends are mounted on ( not planted in) charcoal, bare-root. A number are attached directly on wood, while some still have the coconut husk around their roots, and then mounted on wood with the husk. And then there are those attached to trees, bare-root. Finally about 5 of them are planted in pots. In short, whatever and wherever is the available space, there is surely a dendrobium or some other orchid planted there.

Hi Joe. In my part of the country, and for most of the country actually, nobody seems to care much about names. Even the nurseries normally don't have names attached to the plants for sale. I'm not saying that it's good, but that's just the way it is over here. And when you begin using names, chances are the other orchid enthusiasts in your locale won't understand you anyway.
