well i see forecasts going as low as 34f, but really i think the lowest i get is about 39f. i don't think i have ever had a real frost here, plus my balcony is a bit sheltered. i am in usda garden zone 10b, and western handbook zone 23. these lows are usually only for a few hours overnight anyway. pretty darn mild, can't complain.
