Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to orchids and just about a week ago I got a few orchids from a local grower. One of these is (I think) a Wilsonara eye candy. It was grown in a green house and once I received it, I placed it on my front porch where it gets bright morning light. I think that I might have made a mistake doing this and have given it too much light, but based on how light green its leaves were when I received it, I figured it was growing in fairly bright light.
In the last few days I've noticed a spot on one of the leaves (photos attached). Most of the other leaves look healthy (actually there are two leaves with spots like the one visible in the picture). I'm having a hard time telling whether they're from bacteria, fungus, or just sunburn. They don't feel particularly "mushy" to me, though perhaps they're slightly softer than the rest of the leaf? It's hard to tell because the leaves are so thin on this orchid. It definitely doesn't have any kind of bad smell or anything like that. I'm currently debating whether I should take action to cut out the spot or see if it progresses to something larger. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be would be very much appreciated.
Thanks so much.
