New Grower - phalaenopsis needs feedback from veteran growes

Hello There my name is John,

This is a gift phalaenopsis and I recently started to take care of it. I changed the soil medium and cut rotten roots and repot it a week ago. It had a wooden tip I cut it out as well. I need your feedback on in which condition is my plant is, is it healthy or getting worse?

Here is a picture after I cut out the dried roots and repot it. There are some stems or roots growing out of the base root.
