The Great Pineapple experiment

Looks like you're off to a good start, Diane! Our neighbors gave us a potted pineapple just beginning to fruit when my husband's mother died in 2004. We cut the top off the fruit and planted it about a year ago, and this is the result. Hoping for flowers and fruit! And speaking of broms, our Silver Vase (I think that's the name) was a gift from a friend several years ago. This is the first bloom!!! Isn't she beautiful?? The colors are correct. I've heard that Silver Vase bloom when they reach 6 or 7 years of age.
