Bulbophyllum eberhardtii
Quite a lot of spikes here - coming and going, maybe 20 or so this year. Another plant for my Society's display at Malvern International Show next week. Difficult to display because it hangs over the pan in which it grows, so I made ( several) stands out of bits of wood - one of which is in use here; the white pot hanger comes off for the display , obviously, but is left on at the moment making it easy to lift and move about.
According to all the experts who lecture me about how to grow bulbos, they need nearly swamp conditions ; this chap hangs up in the roof of my greenhouse, and gets sprayed when I think about it ( maybe every few days) and watered perhaps once a month when it gets dumped in a large trashcan of water/feed. But it seems to flourish ; probably my plant is deaf and can't hear the experts... ( joke)
