Got this dendrobium at a garage sale. Wasnt sure what it was, but it had like 13 canes, and I thought it was getting ready to bloom, but the nubs I saw were all keikis, 19! I thought something must be wrong, so I repotted it, lost 3 keikis, and I realized it was partly potted in soil, and the soil was covering up another 8-9 canes that had been cut down and buried in the soil, So the roots were bad but amazingly there were still a few good ones, I removed those because they were rotten and the rhizome snapped in two, so there were like 7 canes on each half. I put a little cinnamon on where it snapped and potted it up in bark mix. My question is....what now? There are all these keikis, which I am worried are killing the plant...but I am not sure the plant will live anyway. Should I remove them now? Should I just keep trying to care for it and see what happens? It does look like it may be putting out a new growth at the bottom though...

One of the keikis is in bud and it looks like it will be a pretty pinkish purple dendrobium, no idea what the name is or anything...
