So lets start with Dendrobium. Dawn Maree.Its a hybrid and the closest species to what you have is Dendrobium formosum and here is a link that will help as Dendrobium formosum is the perant that carried the pod.

Dendrobium speciosum loves the heatand very bright light,almost full sun,It has a common name of 'rock lilly'.All the speciosum's want to dry out between waterings and a tatal waterless rest from mid fall to late spring.

Dendrobium amethystoglossa would like to be kept moist from when new root growth is under way right through to mid to late autum and then just enough water to keep the canes from severerly shriverling.

Water sparingly throught he winter months and reduce the fertilizer until the initiation of new growth in the spring.
