My new cymbidiums just arrived and I have some questions to get them off to a good start.

Can I repot them now or must I wait until spring like one culture sheet I read says?

They need to go outside to set buds; well, our nights are running in the 40s already--can I put them directly outside anyway? Should they be in filtered shade? I plan to put them in a sheltered location on one of my decks, hugging the house.

They need to come back in before the nights get frosty, right? No way to let them winter outside in this climate; they must come in for the winter.

I wish I had known I would be trying them earlier in the growing season so they could have been outside and acclimated. I'm a little unsure of how to proceed now.
