so at the risk of letting people watch my pretty little babies go from bud to blast... here is a progress thread so we can figure out how long from seeing a sheath to the actual open flowers (fingers crossed)

1. Paph philippinense (syn. laevigatum) - first the full plant with a 2L apple/cranberry juice bottle for size comparison... by the way, I bought this plant in January 2005 with three growths... now there is about 10!!! First time blooming!


and now the sheath. First noticed about four days ago...


2. Paph philippinense var roebelenii 'Grace' x 'Candor Red Streamers' - not to be outdone my very first philippinense bought yonks ago (maybe 5/6 years as a tiny seedling) and seems to grow slower...


and the sheath... which was noticed about four days ago as well...


Now, does anyone have any idea of how long it should take for these things to get to the whole open flower thang???
