We've recently experienced some very steady heavy rains here in Hawaii and many of my orchids have suddenly sprouted gnats!! I know it's a by product of rotting media, but in this case many of the orchids were just repotted in June & July! It always seems that when we have heavy rains this happens.

I used to use horticulture oil (I got it mail order) but I don't have access to that right now and I've seen neem oil in my local garden shop. Has anyone used it? Does it work for gnats? and is it safe for my 'chids?
