Thanks to all who answered my question. I have one more: Are phals sensitive to heat? My phal was doing fine last fall and winter when it was cold. It was between 60 and 70 degrees inside. (A little lower on real cold days). Then in spring it warmed up fast and bloomed for 2 months. The leaves one by one turned yellow and mushy and dropped off followed by the flower spike when it turned very warm. It got to 108 last week so it was 80 degrees (and a little higher) inside. Are phals that sensitive to heat? I watered a little more often than once a week then. Problem is, I can't ($$$) run the AC more than I do. Thanks again.
