Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their wonderful comments. I really appreciate it.
Gran M, when I bought it, it was already in its pot, with I think hickory shells. other than that, its has nothing. Also, i grow it on the bench, and when the roots are long enough, I wet them and tuck them back into the pot. It's beautiful and what a mass of roots. You have it growing in a pot, what do you have it in? I know some people grow theirs in bark mix and others just bare root. Are you able to just place the pot on your bench or do you hang it.
Thanks. Interesting, but come to think of it, I think I'm the only person from Africa who posts anything. The closest person I can think of is Giovanna in Greece.WOW! So what if it took five years, I have seen at least six of this plant in various stores and nurseries; I've never seen one so beautiful. Obviously it didn't want to bloom until it was the most spectacular Vanda on the continent!
Great Job
Connie
I feel so alone now.
But the internet brings us all so much closer.
