Is that a root or a nectary hanging down behind it? Is it fragrant? It sure is lovely...
Its a nectary spur. No fragrance detected, it just opened yesterday afternoon.

the flower is lovely...i keep trying to think of what it reminds me of... with the fragrance, maybe it comes out more at night...
