Default Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua x Vascostylis Tham Yuen Hae

A neat and new intergenetic hybrid, Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua x Vascostylis Tham Yuen Hae which was hybridized by Motes. I purchased it during a society talk when he came all the way from Flordia. The Paraphalaenopsis allows for a more compact plant and lower light tolerance (which is suprising because terete shaped leaves usually indicate high light lovers).
I was hoping for blue from the Vascostylis Tham Yuen Hae, but it turned out to be pink but that is ok. Also its fragrance is a bonus. Its other three buds didn't fully open yet, and I wouldn't expect a sequenial bloomer, perhaps it is a water/humidity issue (I'm not sure b/c im not a vanda expert) I will probably get a larger display of blooms as the plant matures

Very nice. I've heard these are suicidal--so I haven't been brave enough to try one. You'll have to let us know your cultural tips.

Or a dragon. It's lovely. The name tag must be as long as the plant!

What a beauty!!! It is so unusual and still very old fashioned looking. It looks like something my Grandmother would grow. I have never seen one of these. I love it.
