I like your lighting uint. It will be interesting to see how your new system works out over time.
I have basically the same system as Tadd and have already seen a remarkable difference in plants put on the shelf vs. plants put inside the containers with rocks and water to increase humidity.
I just looks like the hot lights and with the fan running all the time you are inviting dry conditions. Time will tell. Just keep an eye on those beauties!

The dry conditions aren't that much of a problem really, I am just a huge worrier. I actually have a Dehumidifier on at times down there becasue it gets *so* humid the pipes sweat. As long as the dehumidifer isn't on too much, the conditions are really good, never below 50%.Originally Posted by Slipperhead

Thanks! My plants are really getting used to it. The Sharry Baby I bought (HD clearance find) loves it so much it's spike is growing about 1 1/2" a day! I can't wait to see some flowers that I can account for the light.Originally Posted by Gilda
