    Congrats on what looks like a 'spike'.
    I think you deserve TWO plant stands, one for the Sharry Baby spike and one for the phal spike... and some more orchids to fill up the stands...

    Congratulations! Looks great!

    Let me share my Sharry Baby story. I am obsessed with this orchid. I killed 3 of them and decided to stop trying to grow them and limit myself to sniffing the sweet ones at the local nursery stores...Then, I started using s/h and I decided to try one more time (I have a hard time with giving up) and it lived! In fact it grew very well. And now I too have a spike

    I thought I'd post a little update of the spike. It might have plans to take over the world. I would think the plant would choose to use it's energy for either the spike or the new growth but I guess it's confident in itself and is trying both at the same time.
