Happy Birthday, Lynda! Hope your day is filled with orchid wishes come true.
Tami
Happy Birthday Lynda... hope it is/was a wonderful day to be cherished.
Lynda, your karma is strong! I haven't been on in over a week...and yet something nagged in the back of my head tonight. It said, "better check out the forum."
Now I understand! PM me a time and phone number, and I'll call and pipe you a "Happy Birthday!" In the meantime, celebrate con mucho gusto!
That's Scottish for, "Have a blast on your birthday!"
McJulie
Happy B'day Lynda!
All you kind OrchidTalkers--thanks so much for your good birthday wishes! Yes, it is true--I am another year older and wiser--ha!
I celebrated the day by watching the weather and news reports of tropical storm Fay as it approached Naples, FL where we just bought our new house! It stands empty since we won't move in until October--but wouldn't you just know that the first storm would come along just a couple of weeks after closing. No damage, I think, but welcome to Florida.
My 'chids are being consulted as to who wants to go to Florida. They have been chosen for the cold conditions of my house in Colorado, so some of them will be given to people around here. Others will probably love the idea of coming along. That includes a potted fig tree that I received as a gift when I graduated from college, 32 years ago. It definitely is pining to live on my lanai in Florida.
Well, thanks for remembering! Love ya all.
Must be a difficult decision to make with the chids. Naples is a very nice area though! How big has your Ficus grown over the years? I need to prune mine to keep it under 12 feet.
Heh. Well that's for sure; this ficus has been pruned repeatedly through the years and has moved up many pot sizes. It has moved with us across the country 5 or 6 times and has always recovered. Right now it is really stressed from the low humidity here, and I have promised only one more move, to Naples, poolside. :-) It is about 12 feet tall, and will have to be pruned before we try to move it.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear LLLLYYYYYYYYNNNDDDAAAAAAAAAA . . . . Happy birthday to yyyyyoooooooooouuuuu.
Hope it is a great one
