Hello there,
I have a number of different areas i grow orchids in.
1. A 10' x 6' greenhouse which has power and I run a fan during the day (on a timer) with a heater and heat pads at night (another timer) It has 2 manual roof vents and 2 thermostatically controlled roof vents plus 2 louvres to allow air movement.
2. A 'plastic' house which also has a fitted shadecloth cover that I use in summer as it gets too hot under the plastic cover but in winter the plastic cover protects the orchids from excessive winter rain and cold. I also have a fan (on a timer) in this during winter to ensure the air doesn't get stale.
3. A small 'el cheapo' house for some overflow plants
4. The side of the house for my mature and big cymbidiums and reed stem epidendrums plus a couple of Bifrenarias
I am sure you will be able to distinquish which is which from the photos.
Cheers from Auckland
Rodney
