Phal. violacea fma. coerulea

as my windowsill is perpetually full, it has been in full "instant gratification" mode for some time now, with few exceptions. I don't usually grow phals but this one I had to have. one of the "coerulea" or "indigo" forms, not sure if it has an official name yet, maybe we can hunt down a taxonomist lol. I take no credit for blooming it, just for purchasing it.

Jason, where did you find that beauty! I am not really into Phals either but have a few species. Mine is blooming too but it is not as deeply colored as your...love it!

got it on auction, ron. last year I got a seedling that isn't growing very well, and probably will never make it to BS (although maybe I should send it to a phal expert...)

the color is a bit lighter when the sun shines on it, but under ambient room light, it has this rich "blue" color that is new to the phal world, from what I understand. kind of like vinicolor paphs--when the sun sets, they seem to darken...

That is a nice one Jason. I just bought one from Belgium, which is probablly the same, although not in bloom yet. tag says bellina var coerulea. It is supposed to be blue in color or a variant of that. It depends on if you het lucky
