New Orchids - Just arrived from Belgium:)

Hey guys,

Wanted to share with you my latest additions to m collection that I receivd from Belgium last Wednesday:

1- paphiopedilum wenshanense-appears to have a sheath starting, hopefully

2- Phal Bellina var coerulea - supposed to have a blueish color of blooms. It has a small spike starting. I hope it blooms soon but I know these phals can have spikes growing slowly..for ever

3- neofinetia - on the tag, it has "Amani". It has two growths and is a big seedling, according to the vendor. I am sure it will take forever to bloom! In the second picture ou can see how small it is since you can compare with the size of my hand!

Well, this mornng, I just re-potted the Bellina and the paph, since the bark they were in was broken down. I kept the neo without re-potting. I don't think it needs it.

I just hope I can enjoy some blooms soon from the new addition

Nice additions! I am unable to tell, but is that neo a variegated form neo? It might be the sunlight on it in the photo. All look good though.

Thanks guys for your comments...Roy since its not in bloom, the wenshanense, I cannot tell for sure if it isanother species, but I do trust the vendor who is an Orchid enthusiast. Time will tell, if I can get it to bloom
Hey Kfir, I am actually, looking for someone to start the work on my GH or lets say, specialized Orchid room,so anytime now!
I need t expand my collection even further..he he he
Regarding the neo Bruce it is not variegated , so I guess its probablly the lovely light effects. All I know, is that it would either have a pinkish or yellowish flowers. That is the first time this seller would not ave a specific answer. He probablly got his neos in flasks, since he didn't have any blooming size ones. Anyways, whatever it is, I am sure I will really enjoy it

I was going to say the same thing as soon as I saw the photo on the forum's front page but then I read wenshanense instead. Its just the shape and pattern on the leaves that look just like my mailpoense. wenshanense, a brachy, tend to have thicker leaves in my experience

Now I am very eager for it to bloom soon The seller was so sure it was a wenshanense. He even told me to take that one since all of his Paph micranthum collection had already bloomed (this year) which was what I originally wanted. Could the wenshanense be a mix of some kind?

Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope it will bloom soon so that we can find out! I still have to get one of my Paphs to bloom. he he he

yup wenshanense is a mix. It is a natural hybrid of concolor and bellatulum
