Hi Howard, from my experience, and I speak as someone who has killed more than a few Masdies, the hardest thing to control is keeping the temperature below 30 celsius... if the temps go above that, the leaves just fall off the plants and then it's just an uphill battle to get them to get going again...

I have one Masdie left and this plant has experienced down to 7 celsius, so the cold isn't as much of an issue (unless you have frosts or snow, I suppose).

the only other thing is lots of cool air movement and of course humidity.

good luck if you do travel down that path... part of this hobby is to extend your comfort zone i guess...
