Spike or growth

They look exactly like all my new growths - and though mine are indeed on the outside I have 6 on one plant, so they are quite close together like that.

Well, if it turns out to be growths, Ron, just think about how many spikes are possible when it does bloom!

LOL, I know, I actually wasn't expecting this one to bloom for me but was hopeful. I should have brought these in last night for we ended up with a frost...oh well, they are hardy and it wasn't a hard freeze. This is one of the bigger species and I don't know how big I can allow it to become...not enough room. I will keep this one at home. Someday it will bloom. I can fit 6 oriental Cym species in the space of this one plant. Hopefully come spring I will bwe posting pics of one of the other 2 in bloom
