Hi all,
Just wanted to say I liked reading this thread! Its always nice seeing someones personal journey from the beginning. Well done Sharon, lots of dedication and affection for the orchidsI was the same with my citrus and bonsai, now its leading to the orchids.
Oh, and I recently acquired 'How to Practice - The Way to a Meaningful Life' by the Dalai Lama, translated by Jeffrey Hopkins. Not very far through, but an excellent book so far on the Buddhist life![]()
Good Afternoon Danny, Its has been a journey with my Orchids, thats for sure. They where all doing so well. Now I have only four left... =[ Constantly being tempted to bring another one home, but I just dont know. I have not been on Orchid Talk for a while, then saw your message. I too enjoy the teachings of the Dalai Lama. I am actually going to see him talk, on May 2 nd! Well... at least be in the same stadium. I hope your "window sill" Orchids do better than mine. Blessings =]
Oh wow that would be so great to hear him talk! I have heard people say that he has a flowing, humorous way of speaking that mesmerizes you lol. I hope one day I have the same opportunity.
You can see me orchid-growing set-up on the 'orchid talk members grow area - photos' section of the forum, along with all my other plants
How are the four you have left getting on?
Well... I am hoping the warmer weather and fresh air, will help them. I do not have much space in my room, and the air over the winter was VERY dry and hot. Or VERY COLD. The windows needed blocking etc... There was a point I thought I too would dry up, and or rot away too! The Spring and warmer weather is wonderful "tonic" all around! I took a peek at your babies, they are lovely! Blessings!
