Default Spiranthes laciniata - Lace-lipped Ladies Tresses

Seen near the CREW Marsh hiking trails in Collier County, FL in late June.

Canon EOS 400D, natural light, Sigma 105mm macro, f13, 1/250th (to counteract the stiff Florida breezes).

    Beautiful picture.

I had a Spiranthes Cernua once and I couldn't quite figure its needs (meaning I killed it!) but it flowered once for me and it smelled delicious!

Note to self: should try a terrestrial again

Yeah, I have tried growing S. odorata as well (was your clone the 'Chadds Ford' one?) and it is almost dead...one little growth that is still barely clinging to life.
