Phal Lundy Update

I posted this plant awhile back when it came home looking awful. With a little TLC and a nice new pot and potting mix....it's now rewarding me. This is the first bloom. I love the way it catches the sunlight, even though it made it kinda tough to catch it's true colors. This plant continues to improve every day, growing two other spikes at a rather fast pace. It seems to love the "partial potting" thing, and I'm spritzing it's roots and leaves while in the house to help with it's humidity.
Thanks for everyones help and advice with this plant. I'm so glad it is doing so well...it speaks to the quality of the advice on our site.

This picture was cool..it shows the tiny little 'hairs' on the lip. The whole flower is so different. If i'd had my reg. camera these would have been much nicer. But for now I'm snapping away with my mini-dv...I loaned my camera out for the week. And of course this beauty didn't look like it would open for days. It fooled me!



As the bud opened and the sun set, it almost looked like it was lit from inside.

Thanks...i've been working my "christmas" fat off running them in and out to get daytime sun (some of them). This one has been one of my pet projects...making sure it got just enough air, light and misting.

I like those stories of orchids coming back from the dead after being well taken care of. Inspirational and it ends with beautiful blooms! Good job Connie!
